01The name, and where it actually is
The address is 2080 United Boulevard in Coquitlam, BC V3K 6W3. That is 21.5 km in a straight line from downtown Vancouver, and further by any route a bus or car would take. The two casinos inside the City of Vancouver are Parq Casino downtown and Hastings Casino in East Vancouver.
From May 5, 2026, the Snuneymuxw First Nation's Petroglyph Development Group has owned and run the casino, under a limited licence for the Great Canadian name. It took the Great Canadian Casino Vancouver name in December 2023. Before that it was Hard Rock Casino Vancouver.
Phone: 604-523-6888. The official site is gcvancouver.com.
02Hours
The casino does not publish overall opening hours. It publishes hours for two parts of the floor:
- Live tables: Monday to Thursday 10AM to 4AM. On weekends they run from Friday 10AM to Monday 4AM without a break.
- Poker room: Monday to Thursday 10AM to 4AM. Friday to Sunday 24 hours.
For the slot floor, holidays or anything else not listed here, check the official site or call before making the trip.
03The floor
Over 920 slots and 37 live table games are listed, plus 42 interconnected electronic table machines running live-dealer roulette, craps, baccarat and Ultimate Texas Hold'em. There is also a Privé high-limit slots room and a separate Privé tables room.
04Poker room
The room has 10 tables. The posted lineup is 1/2 Pot-Limit Omaha, plus No-Limit Hold'em at 5/10, 2/5, 1/3/6 and 1/3. What actually runs on a given night is a question for the poker desk: 604-516-7175.
05Shows, music and food
The Show Theatre is on site. The casino does not give a seat count here. The Asylum Sound Stage puts on free live music Fridays and Saturdays at 9PM. For food, there is Rock House Grill, Chopsticks Noodle House, Gordon Ramsay Burger and the Asylum pub. The casino uses Encore Rewards, the loyalty program it lists.
06Getting there
The casino publishes no parking or transit details, and no hotel is mentioned on site. This guide won't guess at a station or a bus route. Use the TransLink trip planner at translink.ca with the street address, and check the return trip before you leave, particularly late at night.
For the general picture of reaching casinos by train, see By SkyTrain and bus. For the other casinos around the region, see Metro casinos.
07Entry and the rules at the door
Entry is 19+. Since June 26, 2023, BC casinos have required government-issued photo ID from every visitor, of any age. Security scans it and runs it against the list of everyone barred from gambling facilities, Game Break enrollees included. For people who are let in, BCLC says no personal information is stored.
Only original physical documents are accepted, not photos or copies. Accepted ID includes a driver's licence, BC Services Card, BC Identity Card or passport. Smoking and vaping are banned indoors in BC casinos.
Every BC casino has a GameSense Info Centre on or near the floor, with GameSense Advisors on site. When gambling stops being fun, Gambling Support BC is there 24/7 at no cost: 1-888-795-6111. More options are on the Support page.
