01What this site is
The City of Vancouver has two casinos. Parq Casino is downtown on Smithe Street, beside BC Place. Hastings Casino is in Hastings Park in East Vancouver. The rest of Metro Vancouver has more, and those are covered on Beyond Vancouver.
This site is a guide to getting to those venues and back. It is not run by any casino, operator or BCLC, and it speaks about the venues in the third person because they are not its own.
02Who writes it
The pages are written under a pen name, Jonah Reyes. The guide makes no claim to credentials, inside knowledge or a history in the industry. It does not claim to have visited, tested or reviewed anything. What it offers is published facts, sorted and checked against each other.
03Why it exists
A night out should start at the right station and end at a venue that is actually open. That sounds simple until the sources disagree.
Hours are the usual problem. The guide could not find casino floor hours on Parq's own site. Published hours for Hastings conflict from one listing to the next, so this site does not print a single number and points to Great Canadian's Hastings page instead. Live racing at Hastings ended in December 2025, and some older listings still describe race days.
The guide pairs each venue with its SkyTrain station, its buses and the late-night options. Those are on By SkyTrain and bus and Late night. It also checks the details that matter when it is raining, which in Vancouver is a planning assumption rather than a forecast.
04What it does not do
- No bets, no games and no accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No ratings, rankings or star scores for venues.
- No recommendations to gamble online. For the province's official position, see Online in BC.
- No guessing. If a fact is unconfirmed, the page says so or leaves it out.
How sources are chosen and dated is on Method. How the site is funded is on Advertising. What it does with data is on Privacy.
